The True Blue Festival is aknowledges the importance of sustainability amongst the events industry, and is therefore 100% commited to ensuring that all of our activities, practices, plans, decisions and strategic directions are undertaken in a way that reflects our stance on environmental  conservation.

Several methods we have taken to ensure that we are doing our part for the environment include:

  • the use of 100% recycleable steel and biodegradable cutlery, paper, cups

  • the strategic alliance we have formed with Brisbane City Council and Translink as an initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by encouraging all of our patrons to take public transport. By presenting your True Blue Festival ticket as you board any Translink service on the day of the event (January 25 2014), you will be able to board free of charge  - no strings attatched.

  • partnership with Queensland's Department of Environment and Resource Management with arrangements regarding all food and animal wastes colelcted at the end of the event. All wastes will be taken, treated, turned into compost, and delivered to the Queensland Farmer's Association to be distributed to those in need.

Our commitment to Sustainability

Whilst the True Blue festival places heavy importance on the revitalizing the cultural national spirit of Australia, we are equally devoted to ensuring that our event, volunteers, paid workers, products, sites and suppliers are following the commitments we have made to socially responsible business practices.

Like how Australians are renowed for their mateship, integrity and 'true blue'ness, the True Blue Festival seeks to integrate these core values into every aspect of the planning of our event, through highly valueing customer service and integrity .
